Freddy Renken is, first and foremost, the proud father of four daughters: Tanner, Navy, Murphy Claire, and Harlan.

Freddy is also the President and Owner of Sea Fox Boat Works and a third-generation boat builder in a family with four generations involved in the boat-building industry.

With nearly 70 years of family knowledge and experience behind Sea Fox Boats, the Renken family tradition continues to evolve. Today, the fourth generation—Tanner and Harlan—is beginning to leave its own mark on the family business and carry that tradition into the future.

Outside of work, Freddy enjoys spending time with his family and making the most of life. He's a lifelong football fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and also enjoys golf and chess.

In one way or another, the boat industry has always been a part of Freddy Renken's life. Growing up in a family of boat builders, he learned the industry from an early age and gained experience in the many different aspects of building a boat.

But boating wasn't the only path Freddy explored. He was also a talented high school football player who earned a scholarship to play wide receiver at NC State.

Ultimately, the boat industry was his calling. Freddy returned to the family business and continued learning the craft, the business, and everything that goes into building a great boat. It's a passion and a skill that has been passed down through generations of the Renken family.

The Renken family's boat-building story began with Freddy's grandfather, who became the first generation of what would eventually grow into a multigenerational family business.

Freddy's grandfather purchased a wooden boat company and renamed it Renken Boats. Freddy's father followed as the second generation and continued building the family business.

Freddy, the third generation, began learning the industry at Renken Boats, working his way through the many different positions and gaining firsthand knowledge of what it takes to build a quality boat. Eventually, Freddy and his brother started Sea Fox Boat Works. Today, Freddy continues to lead the company alongside his daughters, representing the fourth generation of the family in the boat-building business.

That's nearly 70 years of combined family knowledge, experience, and passion for building boats—and the next generation is already carrying that tradition forward.
